    Description

NOTE: The 2nd Story Expansion is not included. For the edition that came with expansion, see this entry.

You will travel back in time to 1893 to explore the twisted and unpredictable World's Fair Hotel. Race to collect evidence while battling through the absurdities of a chaotic, booby-trapped castle - all while dodging Holmes himself. In Crimes in History: H. H. Holmes' Murder Castle, you will explore rooms and collect evidence, while battling backstabbing overnight guests and evading Holmes in his thrilling house of horrors.

    - The castle can be built differently each time using unique modular room tiles inspired by the original castle's blueprints.
    - Trapdoors, greased chutes to the basement, brick walls, and seeping gas are just some of the booby traps you'll encounter as you travel throughout the castle.
    - Because Holmes knows the layout of the castle and all of the castle's elaborate horrors, he can appear in any room with only a moment's notice.
    - Draw from 79 event cards to gain a competitive advantage or to wreak havoc by sabotaging other players.

The winner is the first player to complete their evidence board and rack back to the Pharmacy!

Crimes in History: H. H. Holmes' Murder Castle is a competitive, medium to low weight, board game from Blueprint Gaming Concepts aimed at becoming one of the most versatile games on the market. The action drafting mechanic was inspired from Puerto Rico and San Juan to achieve player engagement with little down time in between turns. The event cards were inspired from Kings of Tokyo and include high amounts of player-to-player interaction. It's designed by Seth Cooper & Brandt Hoffman and features hand-drawn macabre illustrations by Holly Carden.
