    Description

Citymagine is a cooperative boardgame in which each team manages one of the six neighbourhoods that together constitute a city.

Starting with urban problems (mobility, supply, pollution, promiscuity - sometimes accompanied by a lack of social ties), the participants reflect on their consumption patterns.

What is their project for society? What kind of world should we build for tomorrow? How can we invent other ways of living? Through these questions, "Citymagine" proposes to tell a new story for their city.

By involving their citizens, each neighbourhood will have to cooperate with other neighbourhoods to establish connexions between them to avoid hazards and to realize (common) deeds to decrease the ecological danger level of the planet to make it habitable again.

    —description from the publisher

Each team starts with a number of inhabitants (meeples) and a number of hexes representing activities, which can be from the neighbourhood (use the team's inhabitants only) or common (inhabitants from other neighbourhood can participate if you manage to convince them).

Each round, teams can develop activities (placing an hexagon in the neighbourhood for each activity), each of them requiring a number of inhabitants; some inhabitants will only be needed to launch the activity (and can be reused next turn) while others will be occupied with the activity until the end of the game. At the end of each round, new inhabitants from the neighbourhood are recruited (1d6), allowing the teams to develop their neighbourhood further. After 5 rounds, players win if they manage to lower the ecological danger (whose level is represented on the wheel) to zero. There is an optional module (a kiosk) which requires an extra condition to win the game: 18 connexions between neighbourhoods must be made.
