    Description

This reimplentation of the Catan card game includes both expansions so you can build your principality and undergo the hardships and golden times that the settlers from Catan encountered on their path.

The basic game also includes three theme sets with extra cards, which offer many options for variable strategies. So you make a trip through three eras: "The Golden Age", "A time of conflict" and "The great progress". In the end all cards can also be used together in the ultimate version of the game "Duel der princes".

In the box you will find the expansions "Age of Darkness" and " Age of Enlightenment".

    Age of Darkness
Three theme sets provide even more variety: "A time of intrigue", in which the religious struggle between supporters of modern and conservative religions is central, connects to "The Golden Age". "A time of merchants" comes chronologically before "The great progress" and "A time of barbarians" afterwards. This last theme set introduces elements from the board game expansion "Cities & Knights".

    Age of Enlightenment
With the three theme sets in this expansion, we continue our journey through the history of Catan. "A time of discoverers" takes place between "The great progress" and "A time of barbarians". In this theme set, the residents of Catan explore the archipelago within the reach of their new ships. In "A time of the wise" other aspects from the time of "The Great Progress" are discussed. The history of Catan ends chronologically with "A time of prosperity": the barbarians are defeated and the independence of Catan is assured. Time to look after the interests of the residents of Catan and to lead them to golden times.
