    Description

Big Match is a soccer / football dice-rolling game.

The components include four dice with text on each face, a 'football' counter and a green foldable mat representing a football pitch. The dice are used to move the ball back and forth over the pitch until one player scores a goal. The pitch is arranged into a grid of interlinking spaces (a centre spot and for each side 4 forward spots, 3 penalty spots and a 'goal' space).

Starting from the centre circle, one player rolls the blue Attacker die, while the opponent rolls the green Defender die.
The Defender will take possession (and therefore become the Attacker) if the Attacker rolls 'pass' and the Defender rolls 'intercept', or if the Attacker rolls 'chip' and the Defender rolls 'head', or if the Attacker rolls 'dribble' and the Defender rolls 'tackle'.

If the Attacker manages to move the ball without interruption from the Defender to the penalty area, he/she can take a shot at goal using the red Striker die. The opponent gets a chance to block this shot using the black Goalie die.

Outcomes: Blue (Attack: pass, dribble, chip), Green (Defend: tackle, intercept, head), Red (Striker shoot: left, centre, right), Black (Goalie save: left, centre, right).

Big Match is a light "stocking filler" game and comes with a small felt bag to hold the components. Big Match resembles other dice-rolling push-your-luck games ("Soccer Dice", the "Pocket Sports" series etc.). The main difference is the use of a grid, giving the game a physical area for play.
