    Description

Bases Loaded is a fast-paced word game... that's not about baseball! You'll be competing against other players to call out answers to various combinations of cards. These combinations will be ever-changing, so players will need to keep their eye on the ball if they want to win!

Each inning will start with someone placing one base card (a category), and one loaded card (a describing word) at first base. The other players will compete to call out an answer that fits both cards (such as "broccoli" if the cards were "bitter" and "vegetable"). The player who successfully provides an answer gets to play the next card. They can choose to add another loaded card to 2nd Base, or they can choose to replace an existing card (loaded card OR base card).

Players continue to add cards, earning singles, doubles, and triples, depending on the number of loaded cards in play. Once there are four loaded cards, one player can attempt to hit a "grand slam" by sharing an answer that incorporates all 4 loaded cards! Once the grand slam is awarded, players will tally their total points from all of their "hits", and take note of their score for that inning. After a set number of innings, players will calculate their total scores to determine the winner of the game!

Throughout the game, players can lose points by calling out incorrect answers (strikes) or by placing nonsensical cards on their own turn (outs). Strikes and outs cause you to lose varying amounts of points, depending on how many cards are in play! However, players will have two abilities (curve-balls and splitters) to help them get out of a tight spot.
