It reworks and expands upon the Age of Empires: Expandable Card Game and its Nautical expansion. In this yet to be released strategic board game, you play as the leader of one of thirty-five medieval civilizations. You start the game with little more than the open-ended goal of trying to become the most powerful empire, which will involve expanding your empire - constructing buildings, enlisting troops, researching technologies, and similar tasks. Your ambitions will not be achieved easily, however, as leaders of neighboring civilizations seek to make you cower before them.
