    Description

The Dark Emperor threatens to conquer the world! The 5-Color Sentai (okay, there are actually 7 colors) must work together to stop him. Fight monsters, learn new super moves, and rescue your captured friends. If you can defeat the Dark Emperor, the day is saved!

5-Color Sentai (????) is a semi-cooperative worker-placement game. Each player controls an identical team of 5 sentai superheroes represented by red, pink, yellow, green, and blue squares. Players also begin with black and white squares that represent unavailable captured teammates. Each turn, players place one of their sentai on a matching space on a card in the row of monster cards. Players compete to be the one to play the last required sentai, because defeating the monster grants points and an effect or the ongoing ability to perform a special move. Once all players have played all their possible sentai, players take back all their sentai and a new round begins.

All players begin with a selection of special moves that allow them to place more than one sentai at a time. By defeating monsters, a player may unlock additional special moves like Bingo Attack, Triple Fireball, and the Rainbow Ray. Victory may also trigger special situations, such as taking the start player card or rescuing captured sentai teammates. But be careful: some cards can make you lose other cards or even one of your own sentai.

The Dark Emperor is always the final card to appear. Once a player is capable of defeating the Dark Emperor, they must do so. At that point, the world is saved and everyone wins. But the player with the most accumulated victory points on their cards is the biggest winner.
