JOIN THE CIRCLE:
During the mid-nineteenth century, spiritualism became increasingly popular. Mediums would gather a group of believers for a séance as they attempted to contact the spirits of their dearly departed relatives. Now it’s time for you to create your own circle around the table as you attempt to contact these wispy spirits.

OBJECT OF THE GAME:
Play cards onto the séance circle to “make contact” with Spirits – contact your spirit by matching its incantation or steal another player's spirit by spelling out the word “Séance”. Use special chain cards to "lock" incantation cards in place or scare the other players silly with game-changing "fright" cards. Collect Spirit cards for points.

CONTACTING SPIRITS
There are two ways you can contact spirits:
Capture your spirit by matching the Spirit’s incantation
Steal another player's spirit by spelling the word Séance

HOW TO WIN: The player who captures 3 spirits wins. For a more challenging game, collect 13 points of Spirit cards to win.

VARIANT PLAY
For a more challenging game, discard one Séance card from your hand to use its unique ability

S – Steal a random Séance card from any player's hand.
é – Expel any player's Spirit from the circle and replace it with a new card from the Spirit deck.
A – Alter the circle by discarding a Séance card and replacing it with a new card from the Séance deck.
N – No - Chosen player gets one less action on their next turn.
C – Change a Seance card on the circle with another Seance card on the circle.
E – Exchange your hand with another player’s hand.
