    Description

You are stranded on a volcanic jungle island... What a start to a grand adventure! Aventurine Expedition is a card/board game thought up by 2 game enthusiasts with a dream to design a quickly played, action-packed game where you scheme against the others in an attempt to become the greatest Aventurine Miner the world has ever known.

Aventurine Expedition is a fast paced card/board game, (it has the elements of a board game, without the board itself) that has you playing destructive cards against your opponents to stop them from acquiring more Aventurine and Gadgets, in an epic vector art format.

You begin with 2 Aventurine Mines, they are used to gain Aventurine (think of Mines as your source of income). You gain 1 Aventurine per mine you have every turn. You take 1 Recruit every turn from the Recruit Display into your hand. Aventurine is used to activate Recruits abilities which involve many different unique strategy building mechanics, some abilities include, "all opponents loose 2 mines" "lock a Gadget from an opponent" and "look at an opponents Recruit hand and take 1". Playing Recruits also allow you access to their mines. Another use for Aventurine is to purchase Materials. Materials are used to purchase Gadget cards, which help you ultimately win. When you acquire a Gadget card you flip it upside down and receive the reward denoted at the top left of the card. However you cannot buy Materials and Gadgets on the same turn. Collect 3 Gadget Cards to be the victor.

A basic turn would go something like this:

James collects 5 Aventurine for the 5 Aventurine Mines he has, he looks at the Recruit Display and take his 1 card, the Mighty Boom. He then spends the required 4 Aventurine to play a card from his hand. Mighty Boom goes into play and makes his opponents loose 2 mines each, they proceed to complain and James uses his remaining Aventurine to purchase a Water Drop costing him 1 Aventurine. He has enough materials for a Gadget, however he bought a material on this same turn so he must wait at least one turn before he can purchase.
