    Description

"3rd Millennium Chess does for chess what Christopher Columbus did for the world." - Shannon Rene Gardner, designer

3rd Millennium Chess, AKA 3MChess, is a chess variant played on a wrap-around cylindrical 8 x 14 board. There are two other differences from conventional chess:

    1. Each player begins with a row of eight pawns on each side of the home rank. Pawns move away from the home rank.

    2. Each player also begins with four knights. A knight can share a square with an allied knight, and a knight can carry an allied knight.
